    Welcome to May,

it’s a fresh start, a clean slate to rewrite your narrative.

    I choose to be intentional!

    What does that even mean?

Being intentional means doing something on purpose, to be deliberate.

I remember having to retake my WAEC exams because my English language paper was seized before I could say ‘Jack Robinson’ my parents had enrolled me to retake the next WAEC in the school my father worked in.

To say I was embarrassed was an understatement. I had to start going to school in uniform for classes almost immediately.

I started classes and remembered taking up my Mathematics seriously because in my previous result I had a ‘C6’, we used to call it ‘let my people go’. I was certain it was God’s mercy that helped me and if I was retaking it there was a big chance Mathematics would not ‘let me go’ that easily.

There was no day that passed that I didn’t pick up my Mathematics textbook and WAEC past questions to spend at least an hour solving questions and reading. It became a ritual, I had to solve a past question daily.

The English language that was the reason I was retaking the exam was not a priority. I had assumed that the reason it was seized was that I had done too well and my result was being questioned. Ha! Mistake no. 1.

The exams came and I was confident I was going to come out in flying colours needless to say I had been INTENTIONAL in studying Mathematics.

Results came out and my Mathematics was amazing from C6 I had elevated to a B3 the power of INTENTION. I had set my goals and made up my mind to put in the work to get my desired outcome and I did.

I had a D7 in English, yes my assumption was wrong about WAEC. Luckily for me, the seized result was released and I had a C.

Being INTENTIONAL pays, I have so many examples that testify to this. I recently decided to come out of my shell and be intentional about my network. I am enjoying fantastic relationships as we speak. Being INTENTIONAL starts with a decision.

I want to be INTENTIONAL about my Spiritual growth

I want to be INTENTIONAL about growing my Business

I want to INTENTIONAL about my Brand

I want to be INTENTIONAL about my relationships, deliberately choosing who I share my energy and life with.

Then write out specific steps you will take that will help you see these results, this is goal setting and it is not as hard as we think.

I want to be INTENTIONAL about my Spiritual growth – pray in tongues one hour a day and read a chapter of the Bible every day.

I want to be INTENTIONAL about growing my Business – spend time telling people in my network what I do. Reading up on my industry. Setting up social media assets e.g. Instagram, Linkedln…

I want to be INTENTIONAL about my Brand – decide what I want to be known for or associated with and begin the process of being that.

I want to be INTENTIONAL about my relationships - deliberately choosing who I share my energy and life with. Make a list of friends and decide which one stays and which one needs space.

My decision for May, is to be INTENTIONAL about growing as a Brand and a Business.

If you would like to have an accountable partner in achieving this goal.
